On my last sailing trip I stayed at the wonderful Mediterranean Sea but I had a bad feeling about not training too much!
That shouldn’t be!
In my opinion you should relax on holiday. Vacations should be in your recovery weeks or after a main competition, then you won’t have bad feelings.
But unfortunately this does not work out all the time. If your holidays take more than one week, include some workouts in your holiday. Doing a working in the sea with a beach is perfect but be careful with different temperatures (drink more and wear a cap). Give your body time to adapt to the new environment, before you start your workouts.
